Dancing With the Stars’ Elisabetta Canalis Goes Naked for PETA
"I think this is the best reason why I get naked in my life,” Italian beauty Elisabetta Canalis told Entertainment Tonight of her PETA campaign. Dropping trou for George Clooney is probably way down on the list, maybe even below her topless calendars.
Elisabetta — who is also likely to wear very little on Dancing With the Stars when Season 13 starts on Sept. 19 — is featured in PETA’s latest “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign. Eli is a big animal lover and her disgust with the fur industry started when she watched a shocking documentary where animals were slaughtered for their fur. “I was a little girl, but by that moment I thought that I would never, never, never wear fur in my life,” she said.
So, why did Eli strip down for PETA? "I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction," she told PETA. "That is what is required to keep people's attention on such a brutal practice …. These poor animals are electrocuted, skinned alive, drowned, and bludgeoned just for the sake of fashion."
