The Bachelorette

Holy ‘Ship! Were Blake Julian and Holly Durst Paid to Get Engaged?

It’s been a couple of days since the news leaked of Bachelor Pad Season 2 couple Blake Julian and Holly Durst’s engagement. According to Reality Steve, it will be announced on the BP2 finale on Monday, Sept. 12 — with footage from the actual proposal to boot!

It was surprising enough that the couple fell in love that fast, considering she was still dating ex-fiance Michael Stagliano just a couple of months before they began filming the show. Well *surprise!* there’s more to the story, according to Steve and BP Examiner’s source.

Here’s Steve’s latest intel, from his Sept. 9 blog:

As for the Holly and Blake engagement, some new light has been shed on this. Just like on the Bachelor or Bachelorette, this whole ‘lets film the proposal and give Holly a ring’ was a complete set up paid for by Neil Lane. Blake didn’t buy Holly anything. This was all done for TV purposes, Blake didn’t buy any ring, and this story has already been sold [to] a tabloid. I’m not sure which one yet, but after the episode airs Monday, you’ll see some tabloid running with the pictures of the ring and pics from the proposal. Sickening.

And here’s some scoopage from

It was leaked earlier this week that Bachelor Pad couple Blake Julian and Holly Durst, who met on the show, is engaged, and now a source is saying the couple was offered a hefty sum to make it official - $25,000; the offer only came, however, after another couple (won’t be revealing which couple, but I’m sure you can guess) turned it down, the source claims."

Are we all guessing Kasey Kahl and Vienna Girardi? Well, Vienna-Kasey haters, there’s at least one thing to respect about those two.

By the way, considering Bachelor Beatdown host and Bachelorette alum Jesse Csincsak has been tweeting links to this interview, there's a good chance he's the source. He also dated Holly before Stag. In another odd twist, Jesse is on a Twitter campaign to make his ex’s ex the next... next Bachelor.

@JesseCsincsak: “If you want @MichaelStag as the next Bachelor #Retweet this to @TheBachelorTV = #MichaelStagliano for next #Bachelor after #BenF !!”
