Act Out Your Glee Fantasy, And Make Your School Some Money

Despite Sue (Jane Lynch)’s grim pronouncement in the latest Glee promo, one million dollars will be donated to school arts programs.

The National Association for Music Education, which we call “NAfME,” and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, which we call “Glorious Provider of Glee” have initiated a campaign called “GLEE Give a Note.”

High school students around the country are being asked to upload videos of themselves to, but not just any videos. They’re looking for talent! Beat-boxers, singing plankers, dancing knitters, rapping parkour-enthusiasts, et-amazing-cetera! The idea is to make your case for why your school should earn the grant.

They’ll slap ‘em up, and submit ‘em to a public vote for 30 days where real people will narrow it down to finalists. Then NAfME steps in and picks the winners. 73 schools will be granted grants from $10,000 to $50,000.

Check out the official rules at Maybe the singing-while-planking thing isn’t allowed, so you should look.
