Ouch! Brad Pitt Felt “Pathetic” in Marriage to Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's very public divorce rocked the Hollywood gossip world — but that was six years ago. Brangelina has been a fixture for so long, it's hard to remember a time when Brad was married to America's Sweetheart, and not involved with America's hottest baby-crazy action star.
Brad, however, has not forgotten his years of marriage to Jennifer — and he doesn't remember them fondly. In an upcoming interview with Parade, he dished all the dirty details about their unsatisfying union.
"I spent the ’90s trying to hide out," he revealed. "I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic."
And why was he reduced to smoking pot on the couch like a dissatisfied undergrad? "I think my marriage [to Jennifer] had something to do with it: trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t."
Um, ouch! So marriage to Jenn was so boring, it reduced him to Harold and Kumar-like behavior?
Maybe not. In a statement issued to E!, Brad tried to clarify: "Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for."
Now that's some serious backpedaling, Brad. Maybe next time, you should just leave poor Jenn out of it. Wasn't the humiliating public break-up enough?
