New Glee Season 3 Scoop: Sue’s Congressional Opponent Revealed!

Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) has her sights set on a Congressional seat in Season 3 of Glee, and we have learned who her opponent will be. Like Coach B said in Episode 2, "I Am Unicorn," they need to be the "anti-Sue"...and that person is just that. Still, the name may still surprise you. It is...

Burt Hummel! Yes, Kurt's dear old, flannel-wearing dad (played by beloved '90s Nickelodeon staple Mike O'Malley) will face off with Sue in the political race. Series creator Ryan Murphy promised that on the heels of Jane's Emmy-hosting gig, he's got "an amazing 20-episode arc" lined up for her this season. Mike earned himself an Emmy nom this year for his guest role on Glee, so we guess this is quite the acting battle of the titans.

Since Mike's other Fox pilot didn't get picked up (sorry, man), he's free to stick around for longer than his previously-slated six episodes.

What do you think of Burt taking on Sue? Are you Team Plaid or Team Track Suit?
