Jesse Williams Is Super Competitive on the Grey’s Anatomy Softball Team

Grey's Anatomy hunk Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) may play an intense surgeon with little time for anything but the hospital and Lexie (Chyler Leigh), but in real life he manages to find room for one huge passion outside of his work: Baseball!

The son of a coach, Jesse grew up playing the game, and still loves it. Fortunately, working on Grey's makes it easy to keep up with his hobby, because it turns out there's a Grey's Anatomy softball team.

"I'm very competitive, have to win, I have to give it my all, I talk a lot of crap," Jesse confessed to ESPN in a recent interview. But that doesn't mean he's above mistakes — he once spent three games missing the ball because he forgot the wear contact lenses! "That was a humbling experience to say the least," he admitted.

Well, we're glad Jesse's not perfect at something, because between his looks, his charm, and apparently his athleticism, we were starting to wonder how he could be real.
