According to Cynthia, Matt and Taylor first hooked up back in July while the Most Eligible Dallas cast was in Los Angeles promoting the show during the Television Critics Awards, shortly after Taylor and her estranged ex-husband Russell Armstrong first separated. Following Russell’s suicide in August, Matt invited Taylor to come out to Dallas for a weekend — an offer that she clearly accepted, since sources place them at several Dallas eateries over the weekend of September 23. Most surprisingly, Matt took Taylor to his high school reunion, where they were accompanied by a security detail and managed to keep from being photographed together.
And what does Matt have to say about the situation? He told Cynthia: “It’s important for the Bravo family to support each other. Anytime someone’s going through that difficult of a situation I want to be supportive. She’s a friend, and that’s what friends do. She was in town handling business for her situation.” Cynthia points out that Russell’s family is from Texas, which would explain Taylor’s connections to the state.
Sources from Twitter and a comment on D Magazine claim that Taylor was “flirting hard” with Matt, and that the couple were “making out sloppy style” all night — but if this was really the case, how are there no pictures of the couple? It must be pretty hard for a pair like that to travel incognito — something sounds fishy to us.
