Are Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita Leaving Real Housewives of New Jersey?

Amidst plenty of rumours and odd Twitter feuds, the Huffington Post is now reporting that Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita were not asked back for Season 5 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, although the cast is only in the middle of filming Season 4.

A source told the Huffington Post, “Jacqueline and Caroline were told months ago that they wouldn't be returning for a fifth Season if they didn't bring the drama. This season has been dominated by Melissa [Gorga] and Teresa [Giudice] drama and Season Four, that they are filming right now, is going to be no different.”

Manzo — a fan favorite — has expressed her disdain for unnecessary drama in the past and instead has often acted as a voice of reason when the other ladies get out of control. Her sister-in-law Jacqueline had her fair share of drama raising her difficult daughter Ashley, but that died down once Ashley left the show.

Producers have been trying to get the gals to turn on one another, but so far they have managed to keep the majority of the drama away from the cameras, instead choosing to unleash on Twitter.

More recently, Laurita refused to attend the reunion for Season 3 (currently airing) which was filmed last week. That decision alone could cost Laurita her job.

“Jacqueline refused to come out of her house the day of the reunion taping. Bravo's car sat in the driveway all day and she just refused to leave her home even if it meant she was violating her contract.”

Former RHoNJ cast member Dina Manzo (sister to Caroline and sister-in-law to Jacqueline) also hinted that the ladies may be on their way out, but insisted that any decision to leave would be mutual. According to Dina, Caroline and Jacqueline were no longer enjoying themselves on the show.
