Is Bethenny Frankel Too Mean for Daytime TV?

Viewers of the Real Housewives of New York and Bethenny Ever After fell in love with Bethenny Frankel’s acid tongue and quick wit, but now that the Skinnygirl Margarita maven is shopping around her own daytime talk show, she’s had to hire a coach so she can drop her NY attitude and be more appealing to an all-American audience.

The New York Post is reporting that Frankel has already shot a pilot for an advice-based television show, but networks weren’t very eager to pick it up. After personally meeting with Frankel, many station managers felt that she came across as “too aggressive.”

As a result, Frankel’s people got her a coach who would teach her things like “speaking more slowly and being nicer.” Both valuable life lessons for sure.

Frankel does have one fan in the talk show world, though. Ellen DeGeneres has repeatedly booked Bethenny on her show to give viewers tips on bargain shopping and healthy snack recipes.
