Dancing With The Stars

Exclusive: Kristin Cavallari Rooting for J.R. Martinez & Chaz Bono on DWTS

Many viewers felt that Kristin Cavallari’s early exit from Dancing With The Stars on Season 13, Week 3 was an example of popularity over performance as The Hills star’s samba was a success, but the bubbly blonde’s most memorable personal moment wasn’t nearly as dramatic as those of the older contestants.

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Kristin at the Chinese Laundry party at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood when the designer shoe brand introduced the fashionista as their new web ambassador and served partygoers Yogen Fruz frozen yogurt. We asked Kristin how she felt about getting the boot.

“I was disappointed that I got voted off the show so soon as I think we had a great performance,” she told Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview.

“All I can think of is that my memorable life moment didn’t have as much impact as some of the other contestants.”

While fellow contestant J.R. Martinez revealed memories of his experiences in Iraq and Nancy Grace told how she thought both she and one of her twins barely survived childbirth, Kristin danced about her nerves when she graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles.

“It just wasn’t as sad,” she said.

Despite being voted off, Cavallari is still fan of DWTS and had even been in the audience for Season 13, Week 5.

“I don’t have any hard feelings, I love the show and was just there watching the performances tonight. I think J.R did a great job, I’d love to see him or Chaz Bono do well,” she explained.

Like many former contestants, she’s stayed close with her partner too.

“I still hang out with Mark Ballas, we’re great friends, I was just with him at the show before I came here.”

While she’s hung up her dancing shoes, Kristin is keeping busy promoting the stylish Chinese Laundry collection (and modeling the sexy heels!) and possibly trying her hand at hosting a new show.

“I can’t say what it is but it has a dating aspect to it,” she said.

When asked if she’ll ever do reality again, she replied with a smile, “I don’t plan to but never say never.”
