Royal officials refused to specify what kind of operation, but The Daily Mail consulted a surgeon who speculated that it most likely wasn’t anything grave. “I really doubt it was any serious medical condition and I would say it is as a result of an arteriovenous malformation — a birthmark — being removed,” he commented.
