Confirmed: Kim Kardashian Files for Divorce From Kris Humphries
After weeks of rumors, multiple sources are reporting Kim Kardashian is going to file for divorce from her husband Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage. Kim confirmed the news to Kardashian reality show producer and family friend Ryan Seacrest, reportsUs Weekly.
The reality princess is reportedly citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her separation from the NBA baller. The separation is officially listed as starting today, October 31, 2011.
Thankfully, Kim and Kris had a prenup in place (almost as if they saw this coming...) so the divorce should be quick and (relatively) painless. Still, if this is true, we’re pretty sad for the couple. And to add insult to injury, as TMZ points out, Kim and Kris' costly marriage — which, after the three gowns, extravagant reception complete with live butterflies, and six-foot-tall cake, cost the couple $10 million for just 72 days of married life (or an average of $138,888 per day since their Aug. 20 ceremony).
Kim, meanwhile, was acting anything but festive at a Halloween bash over the weekend. According to an eyewitness at the Midori Halloween party at Lavo nightclub on Saturday night, "Kim seemed really unhappy," the eyewitness tells Wetpaint Entertainment. "Like she was in a terrible mood. She came with with pals Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck as well as her assistant Carla and her hair person, Rob Scheppy. Kris was nowhere in sight. When she was asked, Kim told people he had to go to Minnesota visiting family, but she didn't seem to want to discuss him at all. She wasn't very social. She stuck tightly to her group and didn't go out of her way to speak to anyone else. She kept checking her cell phone."
"She left as soon as she could. She arrived at 9 and left at 11 sharp," says the eyewitness. "That's very unlike her. Usually she likes to stay and dance and mingle and meet her fans. She's usually very fun. Not Saturday night. She looked miserable."
