Buying a Replica of Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Dress Will Not Curse Your Wedding
Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries may have only lasted a 72 days, but retailer David’s Bridal is still going ahead with plans to release replicas of the three Vera Wang dresses Kim wore to her August 20 nuptials — despite fears that the gowns may be cursed.
Brian Beitler, the executive vice president of David’s Bridal, told the New York Post, “The entire White by Vera Wang spring 2012 collection will be available exclusively at David’s Bridal stores next season.”
Another source revealed that the dresses, based on Kim’s gowns — including a tulle ball gown and a mermaid gown — are well into production and “it is already too late to stop.” Funny, isn’t that almost exactly how Kim said she felt about her televised wedding?
While even Vera Wang was thrown by Kim and Kris’s sudden split, she's spent years cultivating a relationship with the Kardashian family and isn’t worried about the dresses being cursed in light of the failed marriage. Wang-designed dresses for Jessica Simpson’s marriage to Nick Lachey and Mariah Carey’s wedding to Tommy Mottola are still top requests, despite the fact that those marriages ended in divorce.
But if you’re really eager to live like a Kardashian, why bother shopping for a replica of Kim’s dress when her real-life groom is on the market?
