Pop's most outspoken oddball, Lady Gaga, is taking another stand against bullying. Gaga, already an icon for anyone out of the mainstream in any way, has made it very clear that inclusiveness is her dream, and anti-bullying is her message. Now she's putting her money where her mouth is with a new charity, set to be launched next year.
The Born This Way Foundation — we assume the name is inspired by her hit song — will be focused on spreading anti-bulling messages, as well as providing mentoring and career development opportunities for teens.
The organization, directed by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, will be non-profit, and is partnered with the MacArthur Foundation, The California Endowment, and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.
Whatever you think of Lady Gaga and her music, everyone can agree this sounds like a very worthwhile cause.
