Should There Be a Permanent Third Judge on Season 9 of SYTYCD?
Due to the filming of Rock of Ages, Adam Shankman wasn’t able to be the third judge on Season 8 of So You Think You Can Dance. Instead of choosing a full-time replacement, the show decided to take a different approach — a rotating spot on the judges’ panel.
Each week featured a different celebrity guest judge — from the likes of Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, to the insightful Christina Applegate, and the always memorable Debbie Allen.
With Season 9 in sight, we have to wonder if SYTYCD will bring back a third permanent judge. Here are three familiar faces we’d love to see at the judges’ panel for all of Season 9. Let us know who you think would be the best fit.
Lil’ C not only brings a vast knowledge of hip hop and krumping to SYTYCD, but he also delivers a comprehensive use of the English language. Phrases such as “dominant submission” might have us saying “huh?” on occasion, but he contributes a lot of positive energy to the show. He’s totally “buck!”
Tyce Diorio has been with SYTYCD since the beginning. He can be brutally honest in his feedback, but some of the dancers, whether auditioning or competing in the live shows, need this reality check. However, when the show delivers top-notch dancing, Tyce is equally as extreme with his comments. Either way, we’re guaranteed to be entertained by Tyce!
Travis Wall has truly risen through the SYTYCD ranks: starting as a contestant and runner up on Season 2, transitioning into a choreographer for the show, and, this past season, as a guest judge. His critique is spot-on for both the technical and artistic elements. He elevates the show to a new level!
So, tell us — who do you think should be the third permanent judge on Season 9 of SYTYCD?
