Adriana Lima Reveals Crazy Pre-Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Diet and Exercise Plan
When it comes to the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Angel Adriana Lima has the eye of the tiger. And the body of a Greek goddess.
One of the world’s highest-earning models, the Brazilian beauty doesn’t “train” for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show by sitting on the couch and noshing on Chunky Monkey. (That’s what we’d do, and we’d be far from runway-ready by show day.) Instead, she dedicates herself to an intense diet and workout regimen that would make even the most hard-core of Navy Seals cry.
Starting in August, she began working out every day with a personal trainer, and she upped the frequency of these gym sessions to twice daily three weeks ago. She dished, “It is really intense, it’s not really the amount of time you spend working out, it's the intensity: I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.”
To keep her energy up, she relies on the highly scientific recommendations of a nutritionist. She drinks a gallon of water a day and consumes mainly protein shakes, which include powdered egg. Nine days before the show, she’ll give up solids entirely, and two days before the show she’ll go back to drinking a normal amount of water. She won’t have any water for 12 hours before the show.
Adriana’s inhuman physique is especially impressive considering she gave birth to a little girl only two years ago.
