Adam Lambert was trigger-happy when it came to announcing the release date for his first single, he confessed to Twitter. “I want to apologize for claiming November as the release month. I spoke too soon.” Glambert’s new album has a tentative release date of February 2012, and the Idol Season 8 contestant had previously announced a November release date for his first single. That won’t be happening “due to some unforeseen logistics, legal annoyances and creative details,” Adam tweeted. When it comes to “legal annoyances,” could Adam be referring to the lawsuit recently filed against him? Likely.
Adam, who is currently in London after performing at Sunday’s MTV European Music Awards, is known for his transparency — especially via Twitter. MTV recently crowned him the “Most Follow Artist” in The O Music Awards, and deservedly so; Glambert is an avid tweeter, posting pictures of friends, live updates on meeting stars, and often responding to fan questions.
Adam expressed regret in disappointing his fans with the news of the delay, adding: “Thank you so much for your patience. I PROMISE I won’t let you down & that this upcoming project will take you on a wild ride! I love u all.”
