Glee Season 3, Episode 6, “Mash Off”: Top Sue Sylvester Moments
Is there a character on Glee who better embodies the phrase "love to hate" than Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester? It can be tough to keep track of all her antics in any given episode. To that end, we’ve compiled our top three most jaw-dropping Sue moments from Season 3, Episode 6: “Mash Off.” Delicious eeeeeeviiiil!
3. As usual, Sue believes the truth is overrated. Sue’s ad campaigns just kept getting crazier and crazier (or should we say, more and more like what Michelle Bachmann would approve of). We expected Sue to make some kind of crack about Burt and his Dick Cheney-esque heart issues, but then to say that Burt’s married to a donkey? Wow. That's cold, Sue. Funny... but cold.
2. Thank goodness that “poo-flinging” speech was a metaphor. We hope. Sue had a lot of terrible advice for Kurt, but we must admit: Running on a campaign promise of installing a salad bar is not gonna win him many votes among McKinley’s tater tot-crazed populace. However, we loved that, even though Sue tried to get Kurt to fight dirty, he still stuck to his guns. (And Sue should be glad that Burt isn’t married to a donkey, because if he were, it would probably be rearing up to kick Sue in the teeth right about now.)
1. Sue apologizes. (First time for everything, right?) This was Sue’s least over-the-top scene in the episode, but it was by far her most significant, admitting her role in her opponent “outing” Santana in a campaign ad. And we know that many people are to blame for Santana getting forced out of the closet; we just never expected that the first person to come clean about it would be Sue. Talk about a surprise ending!
