Cynthia Bailey Defends Bar One and Declares Her Love for NeNe Leakes
Since the opening of Bar One was featured on the December 4 episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey and her hubby Peter Thomas were obviously a major topic of conversation.
In her latest blog for BravoTV, Cynthia tediously recounts each insult the other ladies directed at her, and offers her own point of view.
While Phaedra Parks was quick to point out that Cynthia wasn’t the best MC, Cynthia responded with, “Perhaps not, but I was the prettiest.”
Touche, Cynthia. You are a model after all.
As for the nature of the crowd that Bar One might attract, Cynthia revealed, “What kind of crowd is Bar One going to attract? Let's see. Since Bar One opened, Ludacris, Monica, Jill Scott, Dr. Jay, Keri Hilson, Marsha Ambrosius, Robert Townsend, NeNe Leakes, Young Joc, Treach, Tami Roman, RL, Nelsan Ellis (Layfayette from True Blood), Joe, and Sheree Whitfield have come through. Did I already say Sheree Whitfield?”
Well, we can’t argue with that, those are some pretty boldface names. Even Sheree Whitfield.
Just because the other ladies don’t seem to understand or support Cynthia and NeNe’s relationship, doesn’t mean Cynthia is any less infatuated with her new bestie. In fact, Cynthia writes, “I love NeNe like a fat kid loves cake and Peter loves her too. Yes, Peter and I do love NeNe, and she loves us. We are just one big happy family, just loving each other to death. Oh, just for the record, skinny people love cake too. Especially models.”
We aren’t denying that Cynthia and NeNe have a solid friendship, but to be fair, we’ve never seen Cynthia eat a piece of cake — except maybe at her wedding.
As for NeNe’s late arrival, Cynthia insists she isn’t — nor was she ever — angry with her friend.
“I would rather NeNe come late and show us love than be on time and hate. Who cares? Everybody is always late. What was I supposed to do? Jump on her like a spider monkey and beat the crap out of her? Oh, maybe I should have poured water on her shoulder. That would have taught her a lesson.”
