Just when things start looking up for LiLo, a computer geek goes and steals her thunder.
Two days after Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover was leaked online (LiLo had been slated to unveil it on Ellen next week), her 10-photo spread and accompanying interview for the magazine’s January/February issue have also found their way onto the Interwebs.
According to FOX News, a hacker pieced together the entire issue from over 200 files and uploaded it to a file-sharing site based in Russia. As a result, Playboy has already made the issue, which will hit newsstands December 15, available online.
Hugh Hefner, the big man himsef, tweeted, "Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early.”
Despite Hefner’s outward giddiness on Twitter — he also tweeted, “Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Her issue goes on sale late next week. Hot. Hot. Hot” — TMZ claims that Playboy is seriously concerned that the leak could put a huge dent in sales, especially since the men’s mag reportedly paid LiLo nearly $1 million for the pics.
Like the nude pictorial Lindsay did for New York magazine back in 2008, this one is also a recreation of an old Marilyn Monroe shoot. (Michelle Wiliams gets the movie role, La Lohan gets the nudie shoots. What a deal.) The troubled actress, who is currently knocking off her community service hours at an L.A.-area morgue, had to reshoot her spread before it passed muster. Second time's (almost) the charm!
