If you’re a Revenge fan, you’re already bewitched by the sinister spell of villain Tyler Barrol, played by Ashton Holmes. Tyler, Daniel Grayson’s Harvard BFF, is a manipulative sociopath out for money and elite WASP status. We’re not entirely sure of his agenda, but so far we know it involves lying, stealing, and making out with both boys and girls. Stephen King even gave Ashton a special shout-out in EWwhen he named the show one of his favorites of 2011: “Special kudos to Ashton Holmes as the Creepiest Best Friend in the World.”
So who is this talented actor? You’ve probably seen him before on Nikita, or in an episode of House, CSI, Law & Order, Numb3rs, or Cold Case, or on the big screen in A History of Violence. Ashton was born on February 17, 1978, in Albany, New York, and began acting at an early age. He’s not just a one-trick-pony, however; Ashton was the lead singer for the now-defunct band Method of Groove. The band split up in 2000, presumably so Ashton could pursue his acting career, but reunited in 2009 for a one-off reunion concert.
