Pretty Little Liars Season 2 Winter Premiere Ratings Are Down: Is It Bad News?
Here at Wetpaint Entertainment, we know Pretty Little Liars is one of the most deliciously addicting shows on TV. However, being fabulous isn't enough to keep a show on air — it needs good ratings, too. So how are the Little Liars doing after the hiatus?
Before you start cursing "A" and making offerings to the TV gods, here's the good news: Pretty Little Liars still did really well for a cable show.
According to an ABC Family press release, our girls ranked #1 on Monday in the coveted demographics of females 12-34 (for any telecast) and women 18-49 (for scripted cable shows). The show was also the night's #2 scripted cable show overall. Plus, it did better than the Season 2 summer season's ratings average, and was up from the summer finale's 2.5 million viewers.
We still want to know where that extra million people went between Season 1 and now (surely they couldn't have gotten bored with the show. That's crazy talk), but based on Monday's ratings, little liars fanatics can rest easy — as long as the ratings don't keep slipping. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated.
For now, just remind your friends to tune in, and spread the Little Liars love as far and wide as possible.
Be sure to catch the next episode of Pretty Little Liars on Monday, January 9 at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC Family.
