Bones Writers: The New Villain Will Affect Booth and Brennan “Personally”
Considering that we first learned about Christopher Pellant (Andrew Leeds), the black-hearted serial killer who somehow orchestrates murders while under house arrest, about four months ago, we are super-stoked to see him finally get on screen and start confounding Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel). But if Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan has anything to say about it, we are simply not stoked enough.
Indeed, Nathan says, not only is Pellant intensely creepy and terrifying, but he’s going to “change the course of the series[.]” As TV Guide puts it, we can expect this new big bad to leave us with a “cliff-hanger to rival last year’s pregnancy reveal.” With all the buzz that particular Bones moment has gotten of late, we shudder to think of what horrors Pellant will have to wreak in order to compete!
And Nathan is totally confident about this. “It’s going to put [Booth and Brennan] in a completely different situation than they’ve been in before professionally. And that will affect them personally to a large, large extent.”
But... but they’ll have just figured out the housing situation! They’re already going through the stress of having a baby together! Oh, Bones writers, how cruel can ye be?! (It does make for great television, doesn’t it?)
