Miss America Contestant Tries to Diss Teen Mom, But Ends Up Not Making Any Sense
Teen Mom has a lot of haters out there, so it wasn't too much of a surprise that a Miss America contestant tried to get in on the bashing during Saturday night's pageant.
But Miss California, Noelle Freeman, really didn't make much sense while answering a question about Teen Mom during the top 5 round of the competition.
Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas asked her whether teen moms should become celebrities.
First, Noelle replied that yes, "It absolutely does glorify for being pregnant at a young age."
Then, confusingly, she added. "It is an entertainment industry and I support those TV shows, but it is our responsibility to make sure we're taking responsibility for our actions."
So, reality TV shouldn't "glorify" teen pregnancy, but it's OK because it's just for entertainment? Or was she trying for some message about how reality TV isn't real life?
We're not sure. Needless to say, Noelle did not end up with the crown on her head. Instead, Miss Wisconsin, Laura Keppeler, was crowned Miss America 2012.
