Why the Blind Guy on Pretty Little Liars Season 2, Episode 16 Looks So Familiar…

For fans of Glee, the mysterious blind boy from Pretty Little Liars Season 2, Episode 16: “Let the Water Hold Me Down” may have looked familiar.

That’s because the same actor, Alexander Nifong, memorably played Blaine’s (Darren Criss) unrequited love interest on Glee Season 2, Episode 12: “Silly Love Songs.” To refresh your memory, Alexander played Jeremiah, a very Abercrombie-esque guy who worked at The Gap. Blaine decided to seduce him by getting the Warblers together and singing Robin Thicke’s “When I Get You Alone.”

Alexander played a very different character on PLL: a Philadelphia resident who was close friends with Jenna (Tammin Sursok) when she was staying at the local Rehabilitation Center for the Blind. PLL showrunner Marlene King said, back in August 2011, that “he’s going to play a significant role in the show.”

Does that mean we’ll be seeing more of him and his curls? Or was his significance merely to tell Spencer (Troian Bellisario) that Jenna was once a sweet and caring person?

Catch the next PLL on Monday, January 23 at 8pm ET/PT on ABC Family.
