Suspect #1: Mona Vanderwall (Janel Parrish) Why she might be “A”: Mona not only seemed to be following Spencer (Troian Bellisario) at the train station, but we’re also suspicious about what she and Noel were fighting about, and why Noel (Brant Daugherty) was apparently on his phone all night at Caleb’s party. Plus, Mona is a female Rosewood student, which would make it easy for her to flood the sink in the women’s bathroom while Hanna was in there. (On a side note: With all that wasted water, Al Gore would not be pleased with “A.”)
Why she might not be “A”: This is the first time in a while that we see a vulnerable side to Mona, as she breaks down with Spencer about her self-esteem issues. (Mona acting like a normal human being? We’re as shocked as you are!)
Suspect #2: Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto) Why she might be “A”: Poor Melissa wasn’t even in the episode and yet she’s still a major suspect, given that her Philadelphia condo is not far from Smitty’s magazine stand. (Then again, we assume that Melissa has a home subscription to what is probably her favorite magazine: Evil Sister Weekly.)
Why she might not be “A”: First off, it feels like we haven’t even seen Melissa on the show in about 50 years. Secondly, would a pregnant woman really be able to run around and stalk people the way “A” does? Melissa should instead be resting in her bed, where she can silently hate Spencer from the privacy of her own home.
Suspect #3: Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok) Why she might be “A”: It seems like quite a coincidence that Jenna’s rehab center is so close to Smitty’s. Also, Jenna appears to have been lying about Ali visiting her the night before she disappeared (unless it was perhaps Ali’s twin who visited her instead). And we’re not sure why Jenna is able to take people’s pulses just by shaking hands with them, but our pulses would clearly be racing if we ever got on Jenna’s bad side.
Why she might not be “A”: Jenna’s friend at the rehab center painted a very different picture of Jenna than the one we know. Maybe Jenna really is a sweet person, deep down inside? (Okay, so maybe it’s “deep, deep, deep down inside” — she clearly keeps her pleasant side very well-hidden.)
Who do you think is “A”? Vote in our poll below.
