Will Russell Brand Rip on Ex-Wife Katy Perry in His Next Tell-All Memoir?
Russell Brand hasn't held back in his first two memoirs — A Memoir of Sex, Drugs, and Stand-Up (2009) and This Time It’s Personal (2010) — and Katy Perry is scared he'll continue to be just as brazenly honest in the third installment of his My Booky Wook series.
"He wants to tell his side of the story," a source close to Russell reveals to Us Weekly (via Page Six). "The book will cover his married life, the breakup, and moving on. And I don't think he plans on keeping the breakdown of the marriage a secret. Pardon the pun, but Russell is an open book."
A friend of Katy’s dishes to the mag, "Katy is insulted and feels betrayed that Russell has treated her so poorly. She will never forgive him. Ever."
While a rep for Russell claims the British comedian doesn't have a third memoir in the works, a source at HarperCollins, Russell's publisher, shares a different story with Page Six: "Russell felt it was a good time to start putting material together. For the past few months, he's been recording audio notes on his phone and documenting his feelings and experiences on video camera."
But is Russell really prepared to expose the inner workings of his failed 14-month marriage? Given that he reportedly blindsided Katy when he filed for divorce on December 30 amid rumors that the couple was enduring a rough patch, it's not unlikely.
One thing's for sure: If Russell forges ahead with this project, expect fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks.
