Jersey Shore’s The Unit Responds to Snooki’s Trash-Talking & Joining the Cast Full-Time – Exclusive

If Thursday night’s episode was any indication, The Unit is going to play a major role in Season 5 of Jersey Shore.

You already read part one of Wetpaint Entertainment’s exclusive interview with The Unit (nee Jonny Manfre) where he talked about his sobriety and The Snooki-Situation Thing. Now he is back for more to talk about the possibility of joining the cast full-time and the answer to the all-important question: Who has the better body, The Unit or The Sitch?

Wetpaint Entertainment: Will we be seeing a lot more of you in Season 5?

The Unit: Well, I really can't say anything other than if you look at the trailer you will see me in several scenes that have yet to air…and those scenes look pretty action-packed if you ask me!

How did you and Mike meet?

We initially met playing football in a friend’s yard when Mike moved to Manalapan when we were both very young. Mike was the youngest and quickest out there. We eventually became inseparable best friends about ten years later.

Who has the better body, you or Mike?

Like I've said before, it’s kind of like comparing Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Both bodies are legendary. Either one you pick is a Hall of Famer and a definite home run!

Are you still on good terms with the rest of the cast?

Mike and I are obviously still best of buds, even though we don't see each other quite as much because of both of our busy schedules. The rest of the cast are really just people that I get along with and hang with when we’re in the same places.

Snooki obviously has been talking trash and will always have something against me because I have something over her and I heard Pauly say some negative things in some interviews that surprised me because he is always so friendly around me. I still have love for the both of them though. I understand that this is show business and business in general and that I'm the new guy with a 10 pack and am getting some attention, which affects people's egos.

At the end of the day though, when one of these people or anybody in general has something negative to say about me, it's nothing more than a fart in the wind. It makes a squeak when it comes out, everyone gets awkward for a minute, and then it's back to business; generally leaving the one who dealt it a little embarrassed. In reference to everyone else, they're all cool in my book whether they like me or not.

Could you see yourself joining the cast full time, the way Deena did?

I haven't put a whole lot of thought into that but if the opportunity arose and after evaluating everything and I felt that it was the best move for me, then I would certainly take the invite and put my best fist forward to keep Thursday nights interesting!
