Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars Speculation: Where is Dr. Sullivan?

As surprising as it is to see both Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto) and Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker) back in Rosewood in photos from Pretty Little Liars’ upcoming Season 2 episodes, there is still one person whose disappearance remains a disturbing mystery: Dr. Anne Sullivan.

Dr. Sullivan was, until Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), the only person outside of the group that the Little Liars told about “A” and the many trials and tribulations they’ve gone through with the anonymous villain. Of course, this immediately made her a primary target for “A”’s evildoing. So where did she go?

We last saw Dr. Sullivan in Season 2, Episode 12: “Over My Dead Body.” She went missing from her office after realizing that she knows exactly who “A” is from her old patient files. So close! We then see her sitting nervously across from “A” at a restaurant, being given a confidential file. The waitress memorably tells “A” she/he/it has pretty eyes.

Did Dr. Sullivan relocate, after being threatened by “A”? What could “A” have threatened her with? Is it possible that she’s hurt, or kidnapped, or unconscious somewhere?

Perhaps the most inexplicable aspect of her current whereabouts is: How come the police haven’t investigated her disappearance? We know how dedicated Dr. Sullivan was to the Little Liars. Could “A” have found something in Dr. Sullivan’s past that would compromise her career, or her reputation (and, in exchange for not speaking to the Liars, she could hold on to whatever was in the “Confidential” manila envelope)? Tell us what you think in the comments!

Catch an all-new Pretty Little Liars on Monday, January 30 at 8pm ET/PT on ABC Family.
