The Kardashians

Kim Kardashian Says Sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner “Are So Down-to-Earth”

Kardashian half-sister starlets Kendall and Kylie Jenner are fast becoming household names just like their older sisters, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe. But this pack of reality princesses has more in common than their mother’s genes and their impeccable wardrobes. In a new interview in Teen Vogue, the always stylish Kardashian sisters spill on their complicated, yet loving, mother-daughter-sister relationships.

We all saw Kim go grade-A stage mom on Kendall on Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 6, but she’s not the only one who parents the Jenner babes. "I literally raised them, and I make sure I'm still very involved in their lives,” Khloe says. Khloe says she doesn’t let Kendall and Kylie read blogs, and says she has password to all their social media accounts. “I'm very protective, but in doing that they also feel like they can talk to me about anything, and they do,” she says.

As Khloe plays stand-in mother to her baby sibs, she’s also prepping them to do the same for each other. Kylie, 14, says her slightly older sis Kendall, 16, often checks up on her like a mother.
“She [acts] like [she's] my mom, I swear," Kylie says, rolling her eyes. "This morning, she walks in and goes, 'Make sure you're up.' I'm like, Kendall, I'm up! I get it." Kendall agrees: "I'm already a mom to her.”

As annoying as it sounds, there’s an upside to having so many doting women types around all the time: it’s almost impossible to feel lonely in the Kardashian-Jenner abode.

And all the sisterly support has been great for keeping the youngest girls egos in check. "They are so down-to-earth," says Kim. "It's just who they are, and they will never change." Kourtney echoes that sentiment: "We keep each other grounded. Doing it as a family helps keep everyone real."

As real as two teenagers who have over one million Twitter followers, an obsessed-over reality show and their own nail polish line can get, anyway.
