Katherine Heigl Criticizes Dance Moms For Showing Young Girls’ ”Nonexistent Boobies”
Katherine Heigl is enraged by Abby Lee Miller and her Dance Moms. No, nobody asked Katherine for her opinion, but she’d like to give it anyway.
In her weekly blog post for iVillage, the former (and current wannabe) Grey’s Anatomy star sounded off with her thoughts on the reality show, and boy, is she mad. Katherine says, “Girls as young as seven were encouraged to dress provocatively and shimmy around a stage doing a dance performance that could just as easily been a burlesque routine.”
She added, “I kept thinking all these girls were missing is a pole!” Well, a pole, and perhaps some kinder words from a complete stranger.
Katherine was most offended by infamously strict instructor Abby Lee, whose behavior she described as “demeaning, belittling, and downright unkind.”
Abby Lee hasn’t responded yet via Twitter, but we’re pretty sure that one more person criticizing her teaching technique isn’t going to make much of an impact on the formidable mini-legend.
One thing Abby Lee is not guilty of, however, is suggesting that her team incorporate a stripper pole into their routine. Good thinking, Katherine!
