Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Russell Armstrong’s Sister Calls Real Housewives’ Taylor a ‘Gold Digger’

Sometimes tragedy unites, but the untimely death of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Russell Armstrong only continues to tear his family apart. His widow, Taylor Armstrong, is slated to release to her memoir, Hiding From Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within, on February 7, and Russell’s family is upset over what they believe was an insensitive, greedy move on Taylor’s part.

Although the reality star has claimed time and again that her book — which reportedly includes vivid details about Russell’s alleged abuse — is meant to empower women in similar situations, his family isn’t buying it, literally.

In a new interview with Hollywood Life, Russell’s sister Laurie Kelsoe says she thinks the reality star only wrote the book for the money and doesn’t care who she hurts in the process: “Taylor never reached out to my family about writing a book. She’s a gold digger; that’s why she wrote the book. I don’t think Taylor took into consideration what [effect] a book like this would have on Russell’s children! Her decision to write this book was purely motivated by money, but she is pretending that it’s about helping other women. What about helping her own family?!”

Taylor has said the book will help her and 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy, survive financially. Motives for publishing the book aside, Kelsoe thinks that if her brother was hitting Taylor, she should have come to the family — not the media — first.
