How Much Is Kim Kardashian Worth After Divorce?

The Internet is abuzz with number-crunching in the wake of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ divorce, with some sources reporting that the couple made $250,000 per day of married life, and some saying that they lost $130,000 per day. Let’s take a look at the bare facts and do a cost/benefit analysis of the Kardashian/Humphries divorce. Get out your Ti-83s!

Wedding Payday

Kim and Kris made $18 million dollars on their wedding, reports New York Post. That number includes People’s purchase of the exclusive rights to the wedding photos for $2.5 million, $15 million from E! for the four-hour televised special, and $100,000 for exclusive rights to bridal shower with OK! Magazine, says Hollywood Life.

However, Kim’s special day also cost her money — and not just a drop in the bucket. Despite the buy-ins and freebies, Kim’s wedding cost $10 million, according to Jezebel. These costs include her $200,000 wedding band, $150,000 hair and makeup expenses, and $10,000 invitations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Pre-nup and Divorce Petition

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries signed a pre-nup prior to their August 20, 2011 wedding. Kris Humphries, who is worth a reported $8 million dollars (compared to Kim’s estimated $35 million), won’t receive anything from Kim, according to both the prenup and Kim’s divorce petition, which specifically requests that Kris receive no spousal support. The divorce will most likely cost Kris Humphries a sizable portion of his $3.2 million salary, as Kim has requested that they pay for their individual attorneys.

Kim filmed her first interview with Australia’s hit morning show, Surprise at Brekky Central, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, reports Perez Hilton. No news yet on how much money Kim got for the interview, but In Touch Senior Editor Dorothy Cascerceri tells FOX that Kim “could easily sell her first post-divorce interview for a half a million dollars or more.” Dorothy adds, “This divorce is making her the most talked-about name in Hollywood, so companies will continue to throw money at her.”

Kourtney and Kim Take New York Season 2 gave viewers an inside glimpse at Kim and Kris’ crumbling marriage over the course of the season. Kim, who has worked with E! since 2007, was most often shown in a positive light. Cult of Celebrity author Cooper Lawrence tells FOX that the heightened name recognition alone will bolster Kim’s image — and, subsequently, salary and number of appearance requests. Kris Humphries, meanwhile, is reportedly "furious" with the show for making him look like the bad guy.
