Former Houseguest Cedric Matrinez Critiques ‘Pathetic’ and ‘Desperate’ Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Cast
Lisa Vanderpump’s erstwhile houseguest Cedric Martinez is a man of many opinions. In a recent interview with Radar Online, he weighed in on each of his former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast mates, including Kim Richards.
Richards, 47, was admitted to a 30-day rehab center in December for alcohol abuse. Although she’s now sober, many of Kim’s friends and family are reportedly urging her to quit the show. Cedric agrees, saying it’s is a matter of life and death. “If she doesn't [seek help], I fear the show will contribute to her untimely death the same way it contributed to Russell's suicide,”Cedric says, referring to Taylor Armstrong’s husband, who was found dead in August 2011.
Cedric then launched into a critique of each of the Housewives. Despite how close they once were, Cedric says Lisa has allowed an “unquenchable thirst for fame to cloud her judgment.” He’s also worried for Taylor, who he thinks needs to step away from the spotlight and focus on recovery for now. And as for brunette beauty Kyle Richards? Cedric calls her “the ultimate player.”
But the Frenchman did have a few good things to say about a few of the cast mates: namely, Camille Grammer and Brandi Glanville. (He also thinks Adrienne Maloof is above reproach.) Congratulating Camille for transforming from the “most hated Housewife” to “likable victim” in one fell swoop, he applauded Ms. Grammer, saying, “You have gone from former stripper to the classiest of the bunch.” Only Cedric could make his compliments sound worse than his criticisms.
He went on to praise Brandi, calling the 38-year-old former model “a fighter who sometimes pushes it too far” but is always “entertaining.”
And we can’t forget friend of the HousewivesDana Wilkey (although people often do)! According to Mr. Martinez, she’s “the most pathetic, desperate, fake cast member on any version of Real Housewives.”
We’d bust out the old admonition, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all,” but we’re afraid of how backhanded any of his kind words would be.
