Stars Respond to News of Whitney Houston’s Death

The world was shocked today to learn news that legendary recording artist Whitney Houston died early Saturday, Feb. 11 at the age of 48. Celebs took to Twitter to share their fond memories and condolences over her shocking passing.

Christina Aguilera tweeted: "We have lost another legend. Love and prayers to Whitney's family. She will be missed."

Nicki Minaj said: "Jesus Christ, not Whitney Houston. Greatest of all time."

Kim Kardashian sent out this message: "Just heard the tragic news that Whitney Houston passed away. I pray for her daughter & loved ones. We will always love you Whitney..."

Katy Perry first tweeted simply, "NOOOOOOOO," then offered: "So devastating. We will always love you Whitney, R.I.P."

Mariah Carey had this to say: "Heartbroken and in tears over the shocking death of my friend, the incomparable Ms. Whitney Houston," followed by, "My heartfelt condolences to Whitney's family and to all her millions of fans throughout the world," then, "She will never be forgotten as one of the greatest voices to ever grace the earth."

Demi Lovato tweeted: "This can't be true... One of my idols gone?? No. This is so unbelievably sad... #RIPWhitneyHouston"

Snooki had this to say: "Omg. #RIPWhitneyHouston #legend"

Ryan Seacrest tweeted from the middle of Grammys rehearsal, writing: "At Grammys rehearsal hearing Whitney Houston has passed away at 48. Everyone here is absolutely stunned."

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale wrote: "so saddened about Whitney Houston.a LEGEND. RIP"
