The Bachelor

Are Ben Flajnik and His Bachelor 16 Fiancee Still Together? (Sources Say No)

Before you get too upset or — more likely — too excited at the idea of Ben Flajnik already dumping his Chosen One from The Bachelor Season 16, just keep an open mind. Rumors are always just rumors — whether we really want them to be true or false — until someone directly involved goes on the record.

Yes, “multiple sources” just confirmed to Life & Style that the relationship between Ben and his fiancée has “fizzled” after just three months together, but Brad Womack and Emily Maynard broke up at least once during The Bachelor Season 15 and Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi had mucho trouble while The Bachelor Season 14 was airing. OK, maybe those aren’t the best examples for long-term success, but at least they were still officially together when the After the Final Rose specials aired — and it still doesn’t mean there’s really a fire with this Season 16 smoke.

According to Life & Style, Ben does propose in Switzerland and his lady says yes (and you can check out the ring and the name of the winner here in Wetpaint Entertainment’s spoiler exclusive), but now "They have totally cooled off," a source close to the winning woman said. "They often go five to six days without talking. He doesn't call her, he doesn't text. She keeps saying, 'What kind of a fiancé is this?' In her mind, he's pretty much dumped her." A source added that she thinks Ben is cheating on her. “She thinks he’s a coward. She wishes he’d just end it already — otherwise maybe she’ll do it herself.”

It’s pretty easy to read between the lines to get the name of this fiancee, especially when an insider told Life & Style Ben was sincere when he got engaged but he’s realized the women aren't who they seemed. "Ben started to feel like he got played," an insider told L&S, and now he wants to move on. Another source said he’s even talked about getting a place with his pals in New York City, which sounds odd considering he has a new wine business on the opposite side of the country in Sonoma, CA.

Do you believe this? If it’s true and Ben did pick the woman he was spoiled to have picked (she is not named in the Life & Style story), is it fair for him to leave her high and dry just because, perhaps, America doesn’t like her? So much for not letting “external forces” get in the way of his feelings.
