We love ourselves some Satoshi, but we were taken aback when he showed up at Daniel and Emily’s engagement party during episode 15 of Revenge.
Didn’t this international man of mystery break it off with Emily when he decided she was falling for Daniel?
We don’t know much about Satoshi other than the fact that he’s Emily’s mentor in the art of revenge, but he’s officially in town to “guide Em’s plan back to its righteous path.”
It looks like Satoshi will do anything to ensure that Emily takes down the Graysons, and in the space of just one episode, he found out where Tyler was hiding Em’s Revenge box, stole it back, and took the time to wrap it in an elaborate bow.
Keep in mind that Satoshi also made Emily leave her own party to bury the box, promising that her questions would be answered when she came back.
Is it just us, or did that seem seem a little strange? What was Satoshi up to while Emily was distracted on the beach, why did he ignore her calls before the party, and what was the deal with that meaningful look he gave Nolan during Victoria’s speech?
Is it possible that Nolan was manipulating the security tapes for Satoshi so no one would see who really killed Tyler?
Could they have teamed up to stop Emily on her quest for vengeance?
Which brings us to Tyler’s murder. We refuse to believe that Daniel is a cold-hearted killer, and that leaves Satoshi as the prime suspect. What if he pumped Tyler full of bullets and pinned his death on Daniel to bring down the Graysons?
If this were the case, it would make sense that Satoshi helped Amanda make her getaway — he didn’t want her around as a possible suspect!
Sigh, so many questions remain –– but we have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of Satoshi Takeda.
