Don (Jon Hamm) and Joan (Christina Hendricks) have always been dominant forces on AMC's dramatic powerhouse, Mad Men. Despite being two of the most fascinating and charismatic characters on the show, these key players have had surprisingly few interactions over the show's first four seasons. According to Jon Hamm, that's about to change.

"The Don/Joan dynamic is something that we do explore...as the show goes on," Jon told the Radio Times. "They have worked together for a long time, they know one another very well."
Wait. Does he mean "know" in the Biblical sense? Don's a notorious womanizer, and Joan isn't exactly against sleeping around now and then, so it's possible that there's a liaison in their past. Indeed, when asked why Don has never hit on Joan, Jon responded, "Who says he hasn’t?”
On the other hand, Jon was quick to add that we shouldn't take the suggestion that we'll see more of Don and Joan's relationship the "wrong way." Whatever has gone down between them in the past, we seriously doubt we'll see a Don/Joan hookup happen in anything other than flashbacks, at least not in the upcoming Season 5. They both have more than enough on their plates already.
We look forward to seeing more of Don and Joan's relationship, no matter what form it takes. If anyone can stand up to to the ever-moody Don, it's our girl Joan.
