Toddlers and Tiaras Moms Dress Up Like Their Pageant Daughters (VIDEO)
File this one under: Yikes!
This Friday, February 17 on Anderson Cooper, the notorious mama bears from TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras are getting a taste of their own medicine. The ladies will be suited up in the exact same types of garb that their little princesses are forced to wear for pageants.
June Shannon, mother of little “Honey Boo Boo Child,” wears a hot pink tutu with ruffles, and says of the experience: “We have had a blast. This is something we’ll laugh about for years to come. This is fun, this is all about having fun.” But does it change her attitude on how her little girl dresses for pageants? Nope. She says: “I don’t rethink any decision that I’ve made for my daughter as far as pageants.”
What about the other moms? 8-year-old Laci Crews’ mother didn’t have quite as much fun as June. She thought the whole thing was “weird.” But it’s okay for her daughter to wear it? “I mean, she doesn’t have anything, it’s different for children,” Alicia Morgan says. “It’s not showing anything. It’s a swimsuit for her.”
That sounds like a double standard if we’ve ever heard one...
