Who Is 51-Year-Old Geoff McBride From The Voice Season 2?
As one of the more “seasoned” competitors, 51-year-old Geoff McBride comes into this competition with experience and wisdom. He was signed to Arista Records in the ‘90s and produced his album “Do You Still Remember Love?,” which reached no. 55 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Geoff’s song, “Gotta Good Thing,” hit no. 14 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks in 1990, and his song “No Sweeter Love” hit #20. Lastly, Geoff’s tune “Doesn’t That Mean Something” hit no. 37 on the charts.
Geoff has had the chance to perform with some of his personal idols including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rodgers, and Jermaine Jackson.
He wears his sunglasses not as a tribute to Stevie, but as the result of a boxing injury in which he got a “thumb to the eye” tearing his retina. Geoff is currently a husband and father of three children.
He was quick to thank all of his fans of Twitter, individually tweeting many of them back after they complimented his performance of “Higher Ground” during the Monday night’s blind auditions.
