Amber Portwood Getting Out of Jail Today: Find Out Why

Yesterday, the news came out that Amber Portwood did not have to live at a halfway house while completing a drug rehab program, but now TMZ reports that the reason is because Amber was rejected from the home.

According to their sources, Sister 2 Sister Ministries, which runs the home, believed Amber would cause a distraction and bring "negative energy" to the program.

Since she had nowhere to go, the judge decided to release her today with an electronic monitoring bracelet.

E! Online reported yesterday that Amber will now live with her grandparents.

"Amber is so happy and relieved that she won't have to live at the halfway house," her mother, Tonya Portwood, told them.

This development would allow Amber to continue taping Teen Mom, which she would not have been allowed to do at the halfway house.

Amber's not totally out of the woods yet. TMZ's sources say she has to apply to live at another home, but the process could take months.

In the meantime, Amber can finally see her daughter, Leah, and of course, get taped by MTV's cameras.
