Follow The Cast of DWTS Season 14 On Twitter – Who Has The Most Followers?
It’s not the be-all-end-all of popularity, but having a lot of Twitter followers definitely comes in handy on Dancing With the Stars. You can just send out one quick tweet with voting phone numbers and a link to the official ABC site and — boom — you’ve rallied your fans to vote for you. It helps. And seeing who has a strong Twitter following at the start — and by the end — of the season is a good gauge of general popularity, web marketing savvy and chances of success.
How is the Season 14 cast faring? Well, there are no Kardashians, which is good news for everyone since no one will have to fight their million-plus Twitter followers. Jack Wagner and Marina Navratilova just joined Twitter, so it will be interesting to see how their numbers jump in the weeks before the March 19 premiere and then after that.
Tristan MacManus still has his fan-made Twitter account, but he doesn’t tweet on his own. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd don’t have huge Twitter followings, but they are part of Packer Nation and we know how the Steelers fans helped Hines Ward and Kym Johnson win Season 12.
U.S. fans may not be too familiar with William Levy, but he has more than 330,000 Twitter followers, putting him just second to Sherri Shepherd’s 369,000 for the top celebs of the season.
Since Cheryl Burke has more than 237,000 Twitter followers of her own — more than any other pro — and she’s paired with popular William Levy, she gets the top Twitter spot two seasons in a row. It’s not quite the same as being paired with Rob Kardashian but it should definitely help keep her around for a while.
Here are the official Twitter handles for the 12 couples of Season 14, along with their followers as of noon on Tuesday, February 28, the day of the cast announcement.
