"If there's [hope], I can't see it right now," Sandra said of the relationship. She added, "What I really am happy with, is that a dissolution of a relationship — if it is a dissolution — takes a long time and is painful. We're spending time with them, seeing it happen...And not quickly, but painfully, day by day."
On one hand, we get what Sandra is saying. The unraveling of the Owen/Cristina marriage has been meticulously crafted to be perhaps the most realistic, slow, and painful relationship arc Grey's has ever had. We respect Shonda and Co. for doing such a nuanced job. On the other hand, we're not sure how many more weeks of crying over this couple we can take.
Kim Raver added that "in terms of Teddy and Owen, the rift is so dramatic that maybe that walk back home hopefully will be an interesting journey."
So, basically, be prepared for angst all around. We're heading over to Costco to stock up on about ten thousand tissues.
Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
