Judging from her interview with Us Weekly, it may be harder than it seems. These are just a few of her answers to pregnancy questions throughout the Q&A — we couldn’t help noticing how much she mentions her new body, losing weight, and how she feels about gaining pounds after putting so much energy and effort into reaching her 98-pound goal weight.
The story begins with this telling sentence: “She declined an offer of crackers to settle her stomach (‘They have carbs’) and instead had her manager fetch ginger ale.”
And then came the weight-focused comments.
Have you gained much weight? “Five or six pounds.”
Will you breast-feed? “I want to because I want to lose weight quicker.”
Have you set a wedding date yet? “I want to have the baby, lose weight and have the baby in the wedding.”
Snooki certainly seems determined to lose the baby weight as soon as is humanly possible. But do you think her body image obsession will affect the next five months of her pregnancy? And will she be able to focus on her newborn if she is constantly at the gym and planning her slimdown diet?
We have a feeling motherhood will change Snooki for the better, and hope that includes re-arranging her priorities.
