Most Tweet-Happy Contestants From The Voice Season 2: Follow at Your Own Risk!

As it’s our job to be completely and totally obsessed with The Voice and its many contestants, we naturally follow the majority of them on Twitter. Apart from Blake Shelton’s online antics, many of these contestants seem humble and grateful to be in their current position.

Others are a bit too much.

Whether it’s posting every time they sneeze or thanking every person who’s ever looked their way, here are five contestants who should put down their smart phones.

1. Monique Benabou

Credited as being one of the most emotional singers in the competition, Monique had a heartbreaking loss to Chris Mann in Monday’s battle rounds. Her upbeat personality and passion will be missed, but her incessant tweeting will not.

It’s nice of her to tweet every person who sends something her way, but two tweets a minute or more is a bit excessive.

2. Big Red Chairs

Yeah, that’s right, there’s a Twitter handle for that. Unlike the hilarious @PurrfectTheCat, @bigredchairs only offers Voice news. Where are the puns we desperately crave?

3. Chris Cauley

We’re allowed to have strong opinions about those who get voted off the show, but when contestants say it, they just look like sore losers. Similar to Monique, Chris tweets practically every person who makes a reference to him, but isn’t always a good sport.

After he lost in Monday night’s battle round against Tony Lucca, the contestant took to Twitter to thank the fans who thought he was “robbed.” Though he never technically said anything against Tony, he supported claims that the former Mouseketeer only got through because of his personal connection to Christina Aguilera.

We beg to differ, Chris.

4. Christina Milian

If she’s supposed to be the social media correspondent for The Voice, then why is she tweeting photos of herself and messages from her fans? She supposedly runs both her own personal Twitter and the official @NBCTheVoice Twitter. Why couldn’t she just pick one?

Blurring the line between the two Twitter handles also blurs personal content and Voice content. No offense Christina, but we want to hear about the show, not see your latest glamour shot!

5. Jonathas

When the sexy singer first took the stage with a very convincing Usher song, we were smitten. But why is his Twitter handle @iknowJONATHAS?

Jonathas, your Twitter handle reads like you’re an obsessed fan … of yourself. Change your Twitter name and get back to us.

What do you think about these rankings? Too harsh? Or on the right track? Comment below!
