Sure, they both play the lead role in two of the most talked about movie franchises ever, and it doesn’t help that they’re both gorgeous, but despite any tabloid gossip, Jennifer insists there is no feud brewing between these lucky gals.
She tells Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, “I wrote her an email because there was this huge, like, article about a Twilight and Hunger Games feud, and we've never met before and never spoken. There were all these, like, fake quotes from me that were actually hilarious.”
Jennifer goes on about the fabricated article, explaining that it even contained quotes from various “sources.”
“Some of [the quotes] were from my 'pal' and 'sources.' It was hilarious. When I was reading it, I was cracking up,” she continued.
Although she found the situation funny, Lawrence was worried that if Kristen saw the article, she might take it to heart, so she made sure to reach out to the Twilight star and set the record straight.
“I just shot her an email, and was like, 'Hey, can't wait to see more as this feud unfolds!’”
Naturally, Kristen kindly responded and warned Jennifer to get used to her new life as a true Hollywood star.
“[Kristen] wrote me back, and she was like, 'It's fine. Welcome to the world where everything you say gets turned into [something it's not],’” Jennifer revealed.
While we’re glad everything is good between these two talented gals, we can’t wait to see if The Hunger Games beats Twilight’s $142.7 million opening weekend record set by New Moon.
We’ll know which franchise reigns supreme after The Hunger Games opens nationwide on March 23!
