The Bachelor

What Is the “Most Amazing Bachelor-Related News” Being Announced Tonight?

*UPDATE, 3/12: Reality Steve spoils the announcement. Read on for more SPOILER-ific details!*

The papa bears of Bachelor Nation have some mid-March Christmas presents for us! Even if you’re not dying to know what happens during The Bachelor Season 16 finale and After the Final Rose special, you should probably be at least a wee bit curious about whatever ABC exec Robert Mills and Rosemaster Chris Harrison have been giddily teasing on Twitter.

Robert Mills tweeted on March 6, "I just got the most amazing #Bachelor related news #Bachelornation!!!! Details coming soon!! #tease."

After that, Chris Harrison also tweeted a few teasers:

• "Great news to share with #Bachelornation very soon!"
• "Announcement will be made in Mon #Bachelor finale! Fans will love it! RT @sloomis32: @chrisbharrison what is this exciting news you speak of."
• "It has nothing to do w this season of #Bachelor RT @cubswin129: @chrisbharrison please tell......."

So is it strictly Bachelor-related or Bachelor *franchise* related, as in extraordinary news about Emily Maynard’s upcoming season of The Bachelorette or Season 3 of Bachelor Pad?

Or is ABC doing something special for the 10th anniversary of The Bachelor, which is officially marked this month (Alex Michel’s Season 1 premiered on March 25, 2002)?

Or none of the above? Since Ben Flajnik’s season has pretty much been a drippy wash that annoyed everyone who came in contact with it, it would be nice to have some new positive Bachelor stuff to focus on.
