Scandalous! Does this mean Sherri was, in a way, cheating on her partner Val Chmerkovskiy with his own brother? The source claims that “she had her dance shoes with her and was dressed in workout gear. I saw them dancing together.”
Hey, it’s possible that Sherri was just innocently curious about the art of dance, and wanted the best instruction that New York has to offer. But that’s suspiciously against the code of conduct practiced by DWTS pros. A “show insider” tells Radar, "You're not supposed to even know who your partner is before the announcement is made, and it seems like Sherri is cheating and trying to get a leg up on the other dancers by spending way more time getting ready for the competition.”
We’ll just have to wait until Monday (March 19) to see if Sherri’s preparatory lessons gave her a quick advantage starting out.
UPDATE: PureDWTS has reported that Radar got the pro's name wrong, and Sherri was actually seen taking lessons with Val, not Maksim, back in December. But still, that's cheating. Contestants are not supposed to rehearse with their partners until ABC tells them they can. Naughty Sherri!
