Trista Sutter’s Advice to Bachelorette Emily Maynard: Don’t Force Love
As the first-ever Bachelorette, Trista Sutter knows a thing or two about finding love on television — she’s been with hunky firefighter Ryan Sutter since she gave him her final rose back in 2003. Trista also knows something about balancing a busy career with motherhood; she has two kids, Blakesly and Maxwell, with now-husband Ryan.
Trista has some words of wisdom for Season 8 BacheloretteEmily Maynard as jumps headfirst into husband hunting. Trista tells She Knows she hopes Emily makes good use of her days off of filming Season 8. “Take advantage of downtime. As a single mom, I assume any time away from shooting, Emily will want to be with her sweet daughter,” Trista advises. Emily’s six-year-old daughter, Ricki, will be featured on the show, as well. ABC production moved across the country to North Carolina so as not to uproot Emily and her daughter from their regular lives.
Trista warns Emily not to read what’s written about her on the internet. “Don’t read comments on blogs!” As for Emily’s quest for a love connection, there’s only one thing you can do, Trista explains: “Stay in the moment as much as possible and take time to smell ALL the roses. If you don't feel it, you can't force it.”
