Dancing With The Stars

Star Spottings at DWTS Season 14 Premiere: No Courtney Robertson, But Britney Spears?!

If The Bachelor 16 winner Courtney Robertson did show up in the ballroom for the Dancing With the Stars Season 14 premiere, she hid herself pretty well. She wasn’t one of the 12 celebs competing and, despite some rumors and speculation, ABC didn’t show her off in the audience. So what was all that about, People magazine?

Anyway, who *did* show up to support the new cast? Lots of familiar faces from past seasons. The Season 14 group is high on talent, but soft on A-list buddies. There were no Baldwins, Kardashians or Cox-Arquettes for the cameras to run to for reaction shots.

We spotted DWTS Season 4’s Joey Fatone, Season 5’s Sabrina Bryan, Season 7’s Susan Lucci, Season 10’s Niecy Nash, Season 11’s Florence Henderson (who got name-dropped during the show when Gavin DeGraw and Bruno Tonioli started getting naughty), Season 13’s Chaz Bono and Season 6 winner Kristi Yamaguchi, who probably wanted to be name-dropped when co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet said Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas’ score of 26 was the highest of any premiere, even though Kristi and Mark got a 27 back in 2008.

Who else? We saw tennis legend Chris Evert cheering on fellow icon Martina Navratilova … and, oh, apparently Britney Spears was there somewhere although, if she was in the audience, you’d think DWTS would want to plug her appearance more than the phantom of Courtney. Apparently Brit was at DWTS to support her fiance Jason Trawick's friend, Roshon Fegan. “He is so cute!” Britney tweeted of Roshon. “And wow can that boy dance!” Roshon's partner, Chelsie Hightower, told Access Hollywood that she met up with Britney following the show. “She was so complimentary and nice, so genuine. It was a thrill to meet her and how nice of her to come and support Roshon.”
